Homeschool Helps is a Christian Homeschool group that provides support and services to homeschool students and parents. We offer resources, activities, tutoring, and classes, and advocate for more opportunities for homeschool students.
About homeschool helps
Homeschool Helps came from a need identified by homeschool parents. Parents are not always available to teach their children. Some parents needed support and resources to help their children succeed. Socialization skill development was also a concern for parents.
We cover these areas by…
1. Providing courses online and in person for students.
2. Providing recreational and socialization in-person trips and activities.
3. Providing Life Skills that are typically not taught in traditional class settings.
4. We cater to children’s individual learning styles. Not all children learn the same.
We gather Monday through Thursday for up to 5 hours a day teaching children and youth educational and social skills. We also offer virtual Zoom office hours on Fridays for any student in need of additional support. We identify their learning style and teach them accordingly. We keep the classroom size small. This allows us to provide each student with the attention they need. Not all children have learning disabilities. Some children just don't learn the common core way. However, with tailored instructions and support they can pass the common core tests.
We serve students grades K-12 and their parents. Our classes are currently for grades 6-12.
We currently have a team of four teachers, teaching courses such as: math, English, reading, life skills, home economics, science, history, constitution, bible, writing, communication, entrepreneurship, and more!

I have taught all subjects in the homeschool arena for many years. I started with a 3rd grader. I also tutor a three year old who is advanced for his age.
I have a bachelors in Human Development and Family Studies. I also studied for my Masters in social Work with a focus on Child and Family Studies. I have many certificates in many different areas.
I love youth! I love to teach, talk to, and have fun with youth. In my spare time, I play games on my phone and watch movies that only have a happy ending. Oh, and I LOVE ME SOME JESUS!

Hello, greetings and salutations! I have always enjoyed learning and using different words and terms; which encouraged me to have a love for reading. I believe writing is a great way to express thoughts and ideas. Writing helps you to formulate your thoughts, emotions, and ideas clearly and coherently. I want to encourage students to enjoy and feel confident speaking and writing.
I have been learning and studying the Bible for many years and have learned that it provides interesting and practical experiences that anyone can apply to their life. Not to mention it points to the true and living God, leading the reader on a journey of love, self-discovery, strength, and empowerment.
My Master’s degree in Human Services Counseling: Executive leadership. I have a BS in Psychology and I minored in English.
I also enjoy having fun and laughing often. I want the students who I teach to have fun, learn (not just memorize for a test), and enjoy the learning experience.

Hey Ya'll! I truly enjoy cooking and teaching, and now I have the pleasure of combining the two through HSH. It's all about spreading the love of Christ through food for me. It’s not just cooking anymore but feeding God’s people spiritually and naturally; caring for their soul through soul food, advocating for youth to embrace new foods and teaching healthy habits. I have been cooking for over 20 years and Teaching children of all ages for over 17 years. I believe individuals should be able to cook a proper meal, shop/ budget for everyday living, and utilize life skills to become self-sufficient. My goal is to teach the youth to enjoy life by tapping into their creativity, having fun, and trying new things. There is so much beauty in the world.
